Background

The paperless documentation filing system could easily be used to store archives electronically. One of the enhancements would be to store original material using archival methods and documenting its location in the database. Once the documents are stored electronically they do not have to access the original documentation unless absolutely necessary.

Another enhancement required for archival storage is the regular upgrading of electronic storage media and ensuring there are adequate offline storage copies.

Besides the paperless archives I have a system to convert cassette tapes to mp3 for storing on CDs or mp3 players. I also have a system to convert minicassette tapes to digital.

Another multimedia system converts VHS tapes to DVD.
