Language revitalization can utilize the efficiencies provided by technology to share, learn, and maintain language tools and to create language support services. What is required is a set of processes to allow for utilizing efficiency that is based on sound principles of pedagogy and software tools development for end user needs. This book provides a new model based on indigenous perspectives, and needs. I think what many researchers fail to realize is the deeper humanity that is suppressed in oppressed communities. As technology becomes more prevalent in education the cost savings in future planning of brick and mortar buildings and the efficient utilization of space must be taken into consideration.
What we need to develop are educator-technologists with a philosophy of true empowerment. . I think what many researchers fail to realize is the deeper humanity that is suppressed in oppressed communities. Language is closely tied to how we think, how we see the world, and how we interact with each other. We must shift the paradigm and invert the priorities. We must develop a Philosophy of Orality. We must acknowledge the priority of storytelling as academic research. Then we must develop a Philosophy of Technology.
